To strengthen institutional governance and enhance administrative effectiveness, China University of Science and Technology established the Institutional Research and Planning Center (IRPC) in accordance with its organizational regulations as a first-level administrative unit.

The IRPC focuses on institutional research and data-informed decision-making to support strategic planning and university development. It is responsible for the application, monitoring, and outcome consolidation of the Higher Education Sprout Project and related government-funded grants. Through systematic data collection and analysis, the IRPC provides evidence-based insights to enhance institutional effectiveness and support continuous improvement.

Functions

Formulate institutional research themes and related work plans
Conduct data collection, surveys, and analytical studies
Organize training programs for institutional research personnel
Compile and regularly publish research findings to support decision-making
Undertake tasks related to institutional research and development
Handle designated projects assigned by the University (primarily in planning, monitoring, and reporting)
